Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)

Position Status: Full Time

Location: this position will be servicing the following locations: Carson - Avalon, Carson - Wilmington, Commerce - Olympic, Long Beach - 15th, Long Beach - Atlantic, Long Beach - Santa Fe, Westminster - Edwards, Los Angeles - Central, Los Angeles - Wilshire, Vernon - Alameda, Costa Mesa - Harbor, Costa Mesa - Newport, Costa Mesa - Superior, Costa Mesa - Whittier, Huntington Beach - Hamilton, CA

Pay range: Commensurate with Experience $22.00 to $27.00 per hour + $500 monthly car allowance

Travel Time: 50% or more

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 5:00 PM

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician with vast knowledge of different facilities maintenance functional role. The qualified candidate will also have a proven successful track record in facilities maintenance role handling the day-to-day repairs and maintenance work in office premises and buildings.

Responsibilities

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for 5-10 Properties to perform the following maintenance duties and areas of responsibilities:

  • Document repair actions and turn logs in
  • Perform repairs and maintenance work
  • Perform minor electrical such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, fixtures, timers and switches
  • Repair swing doors, roll-up doors, latches and hasps (locking mechanisms)
  • Perform minor plumbing such as toilet, faucet, garbage disposal repairs
  • Perform minor drywall and carpentry to repair damage and update facilities
  • Paint outdoor and indoor surfaces made of all materials such as wood, concrete, or brick
  • Experience with HVAC a plus, but not required
  • Experience with welding a plus, but not required
  • Assist in other facilities duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

  • Possesses a valid Driver's License
  • Have vast knowledge of different maintenance equipment and tools
  • Previous experience in maintenance required
  • Must have tools and a pickup truck
  • Team player and can collaborate with other departments in the organization
  • Ability to deal effectively with co-workers, property managers, company personnel, and other consultants/vendors
  • Ability to work flexible hours depending on various facilities project deadlines

Physical Demands

  • Stationary Position: frequently remains mobile up to 90% of the time walking up to 3 miles per day and in stationary position (i.e., sitting) up to 1 hours per day
  • Move/Traverse: frequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
  • Carry Weight: frequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 5-50 pounds
  • Hearing and Speech frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
